How many miles to the gallon will I get running on gas, compared with petrol?

MPG is usually 10-15% less per gallon on gas than petrol but fuel is less than half the cost. E.g. Most Jaguars will do around 20 mpg on gas which gives the equivalent of a 40 mpg car.

Is the performance the same as petrol?

There is no significant difference in performance on gas compared with petrol, except under extreme loads.

Can you switch back to petrol if you run out of gas?

Yes, we fit a switch/fuel gauge onto your dashboard, which you can switch back to petrol at any time whilst driving. The later injection systems will change back automatically when you run out of gas.

Where do you put the gas tank?

Gas tanks on most vehicles are installed in the boot, usually in place of the spare wheel. There are many options to choose from. (see photos)

What do you do about not carrying the spare wheel?

We recommend and supply tire inflation and puncture repair system made by continental tyres called the ContiComfortKit. This consists of a compressor which will inflate your tyre back to the correct pressure and if necessary inject a sealant at the same time to repair any wound, getting you on your way without needing to change the wheel.

Where is the filler point?

This can be situated wherever you prefer. Usually we put it on the back wing or below the rear bumper. This can be colour coded to match your paintwork. On certain classic jaguars we can hide the gas filler inside the petrol flap.

How many litres of gas in a tank?

We generally try and fit a tank of sufficient capacity to give the vehicle a 250 mile range.

What is the cost?

The cost depends on the vehicle, tank shape and size etc. Basically a carburettor vehicle will cost from £1,000 upwards, and an injection vehicle costs from £1,350 upwards.

How long will you want my car?

The conversion takes about 2-3 days.
